The European Union Commission has excluded certain categories of fluorescent lamps from the list of approved fluorescent lamps, which means the cessation of their sale and use in the European Union. This ban applies in particular to two-terminal mercury lamps (T5 and T8), which are often used for lighting commercial and industrial applications, as well as single-terminal compact lamps and other lamps containing mercury.

The ban came into force on August 24, 2023

This standard affects all enterprises, public institutions, kindergartens, schools, gyms, etc. As a result, all organizations must replace existing fluorescent lamps with more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly LED solutions.

As an alternative to fluorescent lamps, the European Union Commission recommends the use of LED lamps, which do not contain hazardous chemicals and use less energy. Although the initial cost of LED bulbs is higher, their long lifespan and lower energy consumption ultimately make them more cost effective over the life of the bulb.

We invite you to take advantage of a unique offer in our store, where there are discounts on all T8/T5 lamps until the end of this year. This is a great opportunity to upgrade your lighting to be more efficient and environmentally friendly while saving significant money.
